Executive Meeting & Events Manager
To prospect, contract and service executive meetings under 40 people as well as local social events under 40 people.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Catering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Focus will be to Support in the service of room blocks in conjunction with local catering business.
- Will interact with every hotel department to ensure all bookings materialize with a flawless onsite experience.
- Must be open to a flexible schedule to meet the demand of short term booking requests and see all bookings through from beginning to end.
Your experience and skills include:
- Prior hotel sales and or service experience
- Prior experience with our operating systems is a plus: Opera, Resy and Social Tables.
- Prior experience in food & beverage, catering or sales is required.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards
- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of Power Boilers
- Monitor emergency electrical equipment
- Safely operate and maintain plant equipment
- Make routine rounds to take various readings and ensure proper operation of all equipment
- Responsible for housekeeping duties of entire plant
- Operate emergency generators when required
- Start and maintain constant pressure on fire line and golf course water line
- Maintain a proper log book in accordance with Steam Engineer’s responsibilities
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle and handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience required, two years experience in a mid-size power plant preferred
- 4th Class Power Engineering certification required
- 3rd Class Power Engineering certification preferred
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts (day/evenings/overnight)
- Proven ability to work unsupervised
- Knowledge of electrical and machinery maintenance
- Computer literate and ability to work with MS Word and Excel is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
